        性質描述:  白色至淺紅色結晶性粉末。熔點69.5℃，沸點272.5℃。易溶于乙醇、乙醚、苯、氯仿和石油醚，1份2,2'-聯吡啶約溶于200份水。 

             2,2'-聯吡啶是聯吡啶異構體之一，無色固體。它是一個雙齒螯合配體，可以和很多金屬離子形成配合物，因此可作氧化還原指示劑。與釕和鉑的配合物具有很強的發光性質，可能有潛在應用。

                bipy及其衍生物可通過吡啶與雷尼鎳作用脫氫得到。常見的2,2'-聯吡啶配合物包括：Mo(CO)4(bipy)，類似Mo(CO)6；RuCl2(bipy)2，合成前體；[Ru(bipy)3]Cl2，常用的發光物質；[Fe(bipy)3]，用于亞鐵離子的比色分析。三(bipy)類型的配合物通式為[M(bipy)3]（M = 金屬離子：Cr、Fe、Co、Ru、Rh等），中心原子為八面體型六配位，有兩個對映異構體。
        制備方法:將無水吡啶與無水三氯化鐵混合，加熱反應，冷卻固化得紅黑色結晶。用蒸汽加熱除去過量的吡啶。蒸出α，α'-聯吡啶。再加氫氧化鈉用乙醚提取，除去乙醚，得粗品。用無鐵活性炭脫色，過濾，得白色葉片狀結晶，即為純品2,2'-聯吡啶。

        First Aid Measures
